![]() Hold down the Windows key and the R key to open your dialog box, and type shell:startup to open up the Startup folder. If you don’t see your Skype app here but it’s still starting up on login, it could have been enabled manually there’s a fix for that, too. Look for the apps Skype or Skype for Business, and make sure they are toggled Off. This shows all the apps that have native startup options. Look to the left side menu and choose the Startup section. This will take you to the Apps & features menu, where you can change a number of app settings. Now choose Apps from the Settings screen. In the Windows 10 home screen, head to the search bar in your taskbar and type “Settings.” When the results pop up, choose the Settings app to get started. While Skype may be inextricably tied to your Microsoft account, you can keep it from showing up every time you log on.
